Can I use the WYD08 Logo?

The WYD08 logo is an integral component of World Youth Day Sydney 2008. It represents the spirit and emotion of the event and draws world attention to the key elements of the WYD08 theme - A full explanation of the logo .

The WYD08 logo is a valuable asset and is protected by intellectual property law. Our Logo Policy protects the intellectual property rights of WYD 2008, the owner of the logo. All use and/or display of the logo, by any person or entity, whether they are church recognised or other organisations, for any purpose whatsoever must first be approved by the World Youth Day 2008 Local Organising Committee. The Local Organising Committee has set high standards for all communications and marketing material, and in particular we wish to ensure the appropriate use and representation of the WYD08 logo and its associated imagery. By applying to use the logo we welcome your co-operation in respecting, protecting and promoting the visual image of WYD08 and we value your intended participation and support.

'Church Recognised' and 'Other' (Non-Church Recognised) Organisations

To assist in the processing of requests for permission to use the WYD08 logo, organisations have been separated into those which are:

Church Recognised Organisations

Includes Australian and international Bishops' Conferences, Dioceses, Parishes and official Church Agencies, ecclesial movements, catholic schools and communities recognised by a national Bishops' Conference and other official Church bodies.
